It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate,
tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. -- Samuel Adams
Who We Are
Who are we? We are strict constitutionalists and yes we are opinionated. Are we the 'Moral Majority?' We don't think so. Not in the sense you may perceive the Moral Majority. Libertarians? Not entirely; we are NOT anarchists. We enjoy the political satire and opinions of the likes of Glen Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly, but we do our best to keep religion out of our arguments. And we listen to Bill Maher, Kieth Olberman, Lou Dobbs, Jon Stewart and Al Franken (who after all is a comedian and an entertainer and not really a Senator.)
The religious right sometimes loses us, but we do believe morality plays a part in the political decisions we make. Judeo-Christian ethics are what keep some folks out of trouble. We are firm believers in religious freedom and we are extremely tolerant. We like to think we are unassuming and fair. We are absolutely Tea Partyists. We believe the current administration has (and often previous administrations have) violated the rules this country was formed under. We believe there should be no taxatoin without representation. You will find us marching on Washington; soon and often! We believe we are not being heard, and that is where our tolerance stops.
The Rules
Our rules are simple. We believe the founding fathers of this great republic provided us with the words and rules of The Constitution of the United States in 1776 to guide us. Those founding fathers. and they are many, were geniuses. Their words were very clear and concise. The first ten amendments to the constitution are our ten commandments. The constitution and the bill of rights were written into law to protect the rights of citizens of this country and to progect the citizens from a government run amok.
We're Mad as Hell
That government, for nearly 100 years, has been running amok. Why do wie pick 100 years? Because on February 3, 1913, the Sixteenth Amendment (Amendment XVI) to the United States Constitution was ratified, allowing the Congress "to levy an income tax without apportioning it among the states or basing it on results from the Census." That is when the Federal Government took control of your hard earned income, created income taxes and began to levy those taxes.
We believe that many politicians are Elitists who believe they know best what is good for us. But we believe they are not acting in this republic's best interests or in the best interests of this republic's citizens. We are simply here to warn the elitists that, like the character Howard Beale in the film 'Network'; "We're mad as hell, and we're not going to take it any more!"
